A Banquet

For a while now my sisters, Mom, and I have been volunteering at the Pregnancy Care Center near us, a place where mothers and fathers can find help for unplanned pregnancies and post-abortion trauma. Last Monday they had a fundraising banquet that Mom, Hannah and I went to. It was really good. Their guest speaker was Ken Bevel from the movies "Courageous" and "Fireproof."
He talked about how important it is to have a father in the home and how they need to take on the responsibility of fatherhood. He also told his story of his growing up years and how he came to Christ. It was a very amazing story. Anyway, afterwards we got to meet him and get our picture taken with him.
Hannah, Mr. Bevel, me, and Mom.
He is a very nice and friendly man.
Have a wonderful day!

  1. Yes it was a wonderful banquet and I pray God will continue to be glorified through the Pregnancy Care Center and that more will come to Christ in this next year. It was great to meet Ken and to hear his testimony. He is such a friendly guy with a heart for God and people. God is using him to reach many people with the gospel and he especially has a ministry to men. He really challenged the men to be godly men and godly fathers. Thank you Ken Bevel.

  2. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun! I would really like to volunteer some time!

  3. I love the pictures! It's so cool that you have been working with the PCC and that you got to hear Ken Bevel's testimony. Thanks for sharing! :)

  4. That is so awesome! I wish we could have been in town to hear him speak. I'm glad y'all are serving there! :)
